TRANS- PAC SERVICES REDUCED AS RATE SLIDES FAIL

Three Transpacific services cut by MSC, Maersk, and CMA, and CGM due to the rapid decline of import demand and spot ocean freight rates. This cut is important because it gives insight on how rapidly carriers are reducing capacity. Last week 2M Alliance members, MSC and Maersk, announced that Sequoia/TP3 post-Phanamax service will be suspended because of significant reduction in demand throughout the trans-Pacific.  This service will now be combined with 2M’s Jaguar/TP2. The above information was published from an article released by JOC.com, on October 4th. During these volatile times, it is best to stay updated with your supply chain, that’s why the team at Noatum works diligently to provide you with quick and efficient updates.
