Miami Area Update Following Hurricane Irma

MIQ Logistics is happy to announce that all MIQ team members and their families are safe, and neither facility suffered any major damage to the facility or customer cargo. Hurricane Irma made landfall on the Florida Keys over the weekend, and continued Northward up the Florida coast towards Georgia. Here are the latest updates concerning our Miami offices, Miami area team members, and Miami area ports of entry.

MIQ Logistics Facilities And Team Members

MIQ Logistics reopened our Medley, FL (Miami) operation Tuesday, September 12. MIQ Logistics facility in Doral, FL is planned to reopen on Wednesday, September 13. All MIQ team members and their families are safe, and neither facility suffered any major damage to the facility or customer cargo.

Port Of Miami Update

Freight originating in or destined to Florida locations continue to be impacted as the State of Florida continues recovery efforts.  The Port of Miami is gradually opening and US Coast Guard has cleared truck and gate operations for Seaboard Marine Container Terminal.  Port Everglades has opened for daylight vessel operations for predominantly cruise ships and petroleum tankers to get more fuel into the State of Florida.

Update Of Miami International Airport And Ft. Lauderdale Airport

Both Miami International Airport and Ft. Lauderdale Airport have reopened today with limited services and flights.
